US Endoscopy, a leader in endoscopy device design and manufacturing, today announced the acquisition of the Padlock Clip™ defect closure system product line from Aponos Medical Corporation. Based in Kingston, New Hampshire and founded in 2008, Aponos Medical is a medical device manufacturer specializing in tissue management and closure in the GI space.
Ideal for closure of GI tract luminal perforations and hemostasis, the unique Padlock Clip™ defect closure system facilitates fast and effective full circumferential tissue closure while still maintaining blood flow to promote healing. The Padlock Clip™ system features a pre-loaded, self-grasping clip designed to encircle, lift, close, and heal tissue defects. The system quickly and easily attaches to the outside of the endoscope and is available in two options – the Padlock Clip™ system and the Padlock Clip Pro-Select™ system, allowing Customers to use this device with a variety of endoscopy sizes.
